LaserAg is the subject of an article in a journal belonging to Nature

Logiag is very proud to announce that our R&D team leader, Carla Pereira de Morais, Ph.D., has published an article in the journal Scientific Reports of the Nature portfolio.

The Scientific Reports article demonstrates how LaserAg, a cutting-edge technology that analyzes soils, plants and forages, offers many benefits for laboratories measuring soil organic carbon (SOC). These measurements are at the heart of the fight against climate change: they tell us how much carbon present in the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2) has been returned to the soil, and provide us with information about soil health, i.e. its ability to withstand floods and droughts, among other things.

With the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning, LaserAg enables quick and accurate analyses of several elements simultaneously, at low cost, with minimal sample handling, without the use of chemicals and without creating by-products.

In short, this article in Scientific Reports represents an important milestone in LaserAg’s history, demonstrating the validity of this technology and its ability to efficiently process large volumes of samples.

A round of applause for Carla, the LaserAg team and the people who sampled soils across Quebec!
